Mr Graham and Year 7 led this week’s assembly, and their topic was First Aid.
They showed Wunderpark the do’s and don'ts of first aid. The class presented 3 common situations that primary children might come across - a bloody nose, a burn, and a scrap. We saw the “Dr. Wrong” way of treating the illness, then the “Dr. Right” way. Well played Year 7! Following the short play, we watched informational videos to reinforce the lesson of the assembly.
The interactive portion of the assembly was led by Mr. Vladimir. He gave each house a hypothetical scenario and the task of telling the proper first aid treatment with the correct supplies for our first aid kit. The houses worked in groups to decide and then presented before the Year 7 judges. Ms. Albina, or doctor, gave the final judgement. Each house did a wonderful job! Lots of future doctors in the audience!
Ms Anastasia, Eva, and Jenya celebrated their birthdays today. The WP family sang them “Happy Birthday” and wished them well! Happy birthday to you all!
